FAQ
WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED DOSE?
We recommend a dose of 8-16MG CBD for our edible full spectrum products and 10-20MG CBD for our edible isolate products. But we've covered this question in more depth on our journal - SUPERGOOD THINGS - and urge you to head that way to read it.
OK BUT AM I GOING TO GET HIGH?
Sorry! Our SUPERGOOD products will not get you high. But Alchemy Food Co. products will so if that's what you're looking for, go get your hands on some whole food edible goodness.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?
Again, that depends on a number of factors - what you're treating, how depleted your endocannabinoid system is, etc. Some people see results immediately (like our co-founder, Thom) while others won't see results for up to 12 weeks of consistent use (like our other co-founder, Ashlae).
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF TAKING CANNABIS SUPPLEMENTS?
The FDA doesn't like when supplement companies make unsubstantiated health claims so we're going to stay away from discussing that. But we will say this: the whole point of supplementing with cannabinoids is to aid the body in finding and maintaining balance. The endocannabinoid system is known as the mass regulatory system so by providing it with the compounds it needs (cannabinoids and stuff), you'll be arming it with the things it needs to do its job better and more efficiently.

I TOOK THE RECOMMENDED DOSE. I DON'T FEEL ANYTHING.
This is likely because of one of two things:
1) Your endocannabinoid system requires a larger dose (if that's the case, we recommend increasing by 4-5MG - every couple weeks - to find your sweet spot).
2) You're so freakin' healthy that your body has already reached homeostasis and doesn't require cannabinoid supplementation (unlikely, but not unheard of). HIGH FIVES TO YOU, YA HEALTHY ASS.
IT MADE ME REALLY SLEEPY.
Sounds like you took a larger dose than necessary. Halve the recommended dose (or whatever dose you're taking) for a week or two and see how you feel after that. Although cannabinoids are not sedating, they make some people feel really, really sleepy. If that's the case, we recommend consuming them at night.

ARE SUPERGOOD PRODUCTS MADE FROM MARIJUANA OR HEMP?
In the US, marijuana is classified as cannabis plants with high concentrations of THC and hemp is classified as cannabis plants with THC concentrations < 0.3%. Our products are infused with extracts that are derived from hemp, but not from the stalks and seeds of the tall, woody stuff - they're made from the flowering part of the plant (which looks nearly indistinguishable from its high THC-containing counterpart). Some people call it "therapeutic hemp" but out here we just call it hemp.
All of the extracts we use are made from hemp grown in the Colorado sun. We do not use any imported or out-of-state hemp in our products ever.
COULD YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE HEMP?
It's organically grown in Colorado and is processed by some of the finest extractors in the industry (we're not exaggerating that one bit; we sifted through 20+ extractors and the company we decided to go with is the real deal). Unlike many products on the market - where the hemp is processed using liquified CO2 - our extractors use ethanol (grain alcohol), a food grade solution that allows for a much more gentle extraction process.
We're anti-CO2 extraction (for a variety of reasons) (more on that below) and think that ethanol extraction is the crème de la crème of hemp extraction methods.
FULL SPECTRUM HEMP VS. CBD / WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
Full spectrum is exactly what it sounds like: the full spectrum of cannabinoids (CBD, THC, etc.) plus a lot of other really great things (terpenes, flavonoids, vitamins, and minerals). There's evidence (though, admittedly, very little) to support that supplementing with the full spectrum extracts is more beneficial (because of something called the entourage effect) than supplementing with isolated cannabinoids, like CBD. However, CBD on its own is still highly medicinal and people see tremendous results with it.
WHY ETHANOL EXTRACTION AND NOT CO2?
Although many of the full spectrum products you’ll find on the market are made with hemp that has been processed using CO2, we chose to go with ethanol (grain alcohol) due to the solvents ability to gently extract the cannabinoids. In addition to being super gentle on the plants (CO2 extraction involves subjecting the hemp to extreme pressure and temperatures), ethanol also pulls out the terpenes, flavonoids, vitamins, and minerals - all of which make for some pretty spectacular plant medicine.
IS YOUR CBD HIGH BIOAVAILABILITY?
No. When you see a company marketing their products as "high bioavailability" it usually means they're using water compatible cannabinoids - which means they've been highly processed (with surfactants or similar ingredients). While water compatible cannabinoids are broken down faster in your body, the excess is excreted instead of stored in your fatty tissues (think water soluble vitamins vs. fat soluble vitamins). Cannabinoids are naturally hydrophobic (water-repelling) and we prefer to consume them in their natural state - and highly recommend you do, too.
WILL I FAIL A DRUG TEST?
Full spectrum products do contain trace amounts of THC and, therefore, it would be possible for you to fail a drug test if you take a large enough dose. It's probably not going to happen but it could so we'd recommend sticking with CBD isolate if you have any concern. As of 2024, we no longer offer isolated CBD products due to our inability to find an extractor who can process the hemp to our standards.
CAN CANNABINOIDS BE USED TO TREAT CANCER, ANXIETY, OR OTHER THINGS THAT AIL ME?
We recommend talking to a medical professional about that.
CAN I USE CANNABINOIDS IN PLACE OF NSAIDS OR ACETAMINOPHEN?
Cannabinoid supplements are not a substitute for NSAIDs or acetaminophen. With continued use, however, they may allow you to reduce your dependence on aforementioned medications.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS TESTED?
Yes! Our concentrates are tested for: elemental analysis, microbiological contaminants, pathogenic bacterial contaminants, mycotoxin, pesticide analysis, and analysis of volatile organic compounds. It is best to run these tests on the concentrates because of how heavily concentrates are diluted in the final product. For example, a concentrate could fail pesticide analysis but the final product - formulated with said concentrate - could pass pesticide analysis due to dilution.
Once we formulate our products, we send them to a third party lab to test for purity and potency.
DO YOU HAVE ANY STOCKISTS?
A few! <3
